Ravenshead Day Centre Ltd

The Cornwater and Thursday Clubs are operated by Ravenshead Day Centre Ltd, a registered charity.

Its affairs are overseen by a board which meets every six to eight weeks to review and plan the longer term strategy. A smaller subsidiary meeting of directors and manager meets every four to six weeks to oversee the month-by-month operation. The volunteer board members are the legal directors; they are all local residents, with experience in general medical practice, marketing, systems management, social services, the Church, finance, etc.

In accordance with company practice, an AGM is held when members can vote on the adoption of annual accounts, election of directors and other matters.

The day-to-day running of the Club is in the hands of a professional manager and staff who are assisted by a team of some thirty volunteer helpers, including mini-bus escorts. For more information on these see the Staff and Volunteers pages.
